Hi there! I'm Megan. Welcome to my calligraphy business based just outside Sacramento, CA. I have lived in Northern California my entire life and love to share my passion for lettering with my community.
It is amazing to be able to share my love for calligraphy with others by helping people celebrate their special occasions (and people who just want to add some art to their homes). I frequently get compliments on my writing and I often joke that being a critical care nurse and my penmanship are where I let my perfectionism shine!
After taking a calligraphy course on a whim, I found how relaxing and satisfying the art of lettering can be. In 2019, after doing calligraphy for friends' weddings and showers, I decided to seize the opportunity and turn my hobby into my dream career. I started Sagewood Designs & Co., and I have loved every second of this journey.
The name Sagewood was inspired by my very cute (not biased at all) black lab, Sage, and the simplicity and beauty of nature. I live in Rocklin California with my husband, Scott, and our two dogs, Sage & Moose. I love creating calligraphy for others and would be honored to share my art with you.
